First
place is a beautiful photograph...it certainly stands out.

Second
place is all about looking for composition. The framing really
makes this picture.

Third
place is a nice, peaceful, well-lit portrait. Portraits often
work when the subject is not looking directly into the camera.
OVERALL
CATEGORY COMMENTS:
Deciding
the order of three images was a difficult decision. While we loved
the composition of the first place image we were struck by the
airy feeling of the second place image. We moved the third place
image from the ceremony category because it did not seem to fit
and we felt it was more of a portrait, even though it was made
during the ceremony.
