JUDGE'S COMMENTS:

This was a nice detail shot of the cake. It was a simple composition that worked well.

Focusing on the white flower, against a sea of red flowers created a simple, yet beautiful image.

Rich and inviting. Nice lighting and soft background focus make for a beautiful photograph.

SECOND PLACE - Michael Leslie / Pennsylvania

10 Points, a trophy and $26.00 Cash

More predictable than the first place image this photo is well done and clean.

JUDGE'S COMMENTS:

Shooting the wedding cake from above made a unique photo.

This was another nice over head shot and showed off the cake well.

A nice, well composed, clean detail.

FOURTH PLACE - Suzanne Mapes / California

JUDGE'S COMMENTS:

Nice detail shot of the cake and I would have liked it more if the flowers were lit with natural lighting or fill flash. Still, it had a strong compostion.

Nice light on the cake. Pretty photo.

FIFTH PLACE - Ben Rusnak / Florida

JUDGE'S COMMENTS:

Nice champagne photo with bride and groom on the bottle.

Nice detail.

Combining the wedding couples image (on a bottle of champagne) with a hand reaching for a glass of champagne made for a creative image.

SIXTH PLACE - Bradley Hanson / Washington

JUDGE'S COMMENTS:

There’s something about the way this waiter is holding the food and the way the colors all work together. Very inviting. Could be in a food magazine.
